Amelia Brennan, MSW, has served as Program Director since the role was established in 2025. She collaborates closely with referring agencies to assess client needs and ensures the timely delivery of furniture. Her dedication to outreach helps us build new partnerships and extend our impact, allowing us to serve even more people across Connecticut.
Amelia has worked in the Connecticut courts as a Domestic Violence Victim Advocate, where she served as a contact point for victims of domestic violence to help guide them through the legal process. She also worked at the Correctional Association of New York, an independent organization that oversaw the conditions in New York State Prisons. She has a wealth of experience working with people in marginalized communities and brings that to the work she does with Make a Home.
Amelia has her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Franklin Pierce University. She has also completed her Master's in Social Work from Columbia University.
Amelia also enjoys spending time with friends and family, getting outdoors, knitting, crocheting, or crafting of any type, and spending time with her cats.
